Overview

This four-year honours degree programme applies core chemical engineering principles to industrial-scale food processing, blending technical expertise with specialised knowledge in food biochemistry, processing, safety, and quality management. Students develop skills in product development, process optimisation, and technopreneurship, preparing them to innovate and commercialise food products. Graduates emerge ready for careers in food processing, quality assurance, R&D, and food product commercialisation.

International Student 

  • High School Certificate (HSC) qualification or its equivalents and  completed a minimum of Twelve (12) years of primary and secondary school, with a min. Grade C or 60% in English, Mathematics, and any one (1) of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Business, Economics, Commerce or Accounting.


International Student

  • GCE A-Level: Three (3) principle passes, with min. Grade C in Mathematics and two (2) of the following subjects: Economics, Business Studies, and/or Accounting.


  • International Baccalaureate (IB): Min. 24 points in six (6) subjects, with min. Grade 4 in Mathematics and two (2) of the following subjects: Economics, Business Studies, and/or Accounting.


  • Diploma or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian Government and the Senate of Universities with a CGPA of at least 2.50.
